Each summer we take an evening to recognize the incredible accomplishments of our kids over the past school year. The Children’s Awards Banquet brings together our campus family to honor our children for their good grades, personal progress, community service and more. We recognize each cottage family’s growth with a “Cottage Year in Review” presentation and kids receive a medal to commemorate the event.
We also honor kids who excelled in specific subjects at school and those who were the most improved. Special awards like “Athlete of the Year” and “Kid’s Choice” honor model students who are chosen by their peers. Click the slideshow below to see some of the special award winners.
The 2018 graduating class made a special presentation to share their plans for the fall. Robert reminded all the students, “We have been through a lot. We all have stories to tell. But we are overcomers.” They also presented the class of 2019 with their class rings.
The Boys and Girls Country kids are truly remarkable. They are smart, resilient and talented, and they have a big heart for others. They are good citizens and great kids! We are grateful to our staff, board, teachers and our children’s families for encouraging and supporting these kids to excel. We are especially grateful to our friends at St. Francis Episcopal Church, NCL Cypress Belles, and Texas Business Theatre for helping us keep this tradition alive.
