A Place to Call Home
Throughout 2025, Boys and Girls Country continued to be a home—not just a temporary shelter—for children, teens and our College & Career young adults.

FOX 26 Houston featured Boys and Girls Country in a segment highlighting BGC as a “home, not a shelter” for children in crisis. The report showcased our family-style cottages, trauma-informed care and long-term stability, emphasizing how children can remain in the same schools and form lasting community ties.
CEO Vincent Duran and former residents shared stories of personal growth, education and opportunity, illustrating the transformative impact of BGC’s nurturing environment and the vital role of community support.
More than a shelter. More than a program. Boys and Girls Country is home—where children find stability, build confidence and discover what’s possible.
