At no time will Boys and Girls Country sell or trade its mailing list, database, or personal donor or volunteer information to any other entity. This information is strictly the property of Boys and Girls Country and is held in trust to protect the confidentiality of all donors.

We will not share individually-identifying personal information about you with third parties without your permission, with the exception of service providers or other organizations we contract with to fulfill services on our behalf (e.g. delivering email or mail, executing credit card transactions) or as required by law.

In the event that financial information, including donor information, is released outside of our control, by other organizations, such as, Boys and Girls Country makes every attempt to ensure that donor information is protected.

What information is being collected about me, and how will it be used?
Generally, you can visit the site without telling us who you are or disclosing any information about yourself. You decide when to share your personal information with us while on the site. For example, if you make a donation, correspond with us by email, or submit a form, you are sharing personal information about yourself with us. Your information is accessible only to our employees, volunteers and business partners who need to access it to respond to your inquiries or provide you with these services.

The site does not use cookies to identify your web browser or record information you entered on a previous visit, so you will need to re-enter your information each time you wish to make a donation or complete a form.

Our web server does not collect non-personal information (for example, IP addresses and referrers). An IP Address is a number given to a visitor by an in Internet Service Provider. Examples of information provided by an IP address include service provider, type of browser and type of system used. Since we do not collect this type of non-personal visitor information, we do not collect information regarding your number of visits, average time spent on the site, pages viewed, etc. Though we do not monitor individual site usage, we use analytics software to collect aggregate usage statistics to help us improve our site.

Specific information we collect, and how we use it:
If you sign up to receive the e-newsletter:  
We will collect your email address, which will be used to deliver the e-newsletter and occasional mailings with information on upcoming events, opportunities for involvement, and updates to the website.
If you choose to provide your name, mailing address, and phone number, we will also send you the print newsletter and printed information about opportunities for involvement. We may also call you if we need to update your contact information.

If you make a donation online through our website:
We will collect your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address. We will use this information to send you notes of thanks and charitable contribution receipts, along with the newsletter, event information, website updates, and information about other ways to get involved. Your credit card information will be securely processed through an outside vendor, currently with Woodforest Bank, and will not be stored by Boys and Girls Country.

If you contact a staff member with a question or comment:

If you submit an online volunteer inquiry form: 
We will collect your contact information, areas of interest and any group affiliation to correspond with you regarding potential volunteer opportunities that match your interests.

If you submit an online placement inquiry form:
We will collect your contact information and basic information about your child in order to correspond with you regarding the possibility of placement.

If you submit your resume in response to a job posting:
We will review your resume and use your contact information to correspond with you regarding potential opportunities.

What security measures are in place to protect my personal information?
We utilize the most recent technology to ensure the safety of all of our donors’ information. Donor information is maintained in a password protected database on site. We employ standard security permissions for database access.
