Vincent G. Duran

Vincent Duran joined Boys and Girls Country in May 2017 as the home’s fifth Executive Director.  He has 20 years of experience in residential childcare, beginning his career at Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch near Amarillo, Texas. Prior to his work in children’s homes, Vince was a youth minister in Houston and Amarillo for eight years.

Vince holds a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies and Master’s Degree in Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University.  Vince is a seasoned leader and licensed child care administrator in the state of Texas.  “I have spent my entire career working with children and families, and it is an honor to lead and serve the premier children’s home in the Greater Houston area.”

Vince and his wife Ashley have two boys, Connor and Lucas.  The Duran family lives on the College and Career Campus and are active members of Christ Family Church in Cypress, Texas.

Heidi Fenn

Heidi Fenn joined the Boys and Girls Country community in January 2018. She began as our part-time receptionist, served as Assistant to the Chief Program Officer and is now the Executive Assistant to Mr. Duran. Heidi spent the early part of her career working for the Department of Public Safety and Harris County Court House. Before joining BGC, she also owned and operated several home-based businesses while raising a family.

Heidi lives in Cypress with her husband, Todd, and sons, Todd Jr. and Thomas.  Heidi graduated from Cy-Creek High School and attended the University of Houston. She is excited to be a part of Boys and Girls Country where she can help make a difference in the lives of children. Heidi enjoys working for an organization where she can use her outgoing personality, organizational skills and artistic talents to assist others.

James Allen

Mr. Allen joined Boys and Girls Country of Houston in March 2009.  He has over 50 years’ of experience as an accountant, auditor and financial executive.  He began his career with the accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) rising to the rank of Audit Manager.  Among the clients he serviced were several Fortune 500 companies.  He then worked as a financial and operations executive in the mining, plastic resin distribution, propane distribution, janitorial maintenance, electric power generation, valve automation equipment and specialty furniture manufacturing industries.

Mr. Allen is a graduate of Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA.  He served in the United States Army in Vietnam.  He is a Certified Public Accountant.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Management Accountants.

Kristin Burch

Kristin Burch joined the Boys and Girls Country community in February 2019 as the Chief Development Officer. Kristin brings extensive experience in non-profit leadership, fundraising, alumni and volunteer relations, management and events. The majority of her career has been in higher education at Georgetown University in Washington, DC; Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC; the University of Houston in Houston, TX and St. Thomas University in Houston, TX.

Kristin lives in The Woodlands with her husband, Craig, and son, Ben. She is excited to bring support to the youth who benefit from the loving, supportive and secure environment provided at Boys and Girls Country. She feels blessed to work with the amazing staff and volunteers who are so dedicated to the mission of the organization. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching college sports, listening to live music and volunteering.
