Vincent Duran joined Boys and Girls Country in May 2017 as the home’s fifth Executive Director. He has 20 years of experience in residential childcare, beginning his career at Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch near Amarillo, Texas. Prior to his work in children’s homes, Vince was a youth minister in Houston and Amarillo for eight years.
Vince holds a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies and Master’s Degree in Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University. Vince is a seasoned leader and licensed child care administrator in the state of Texas. “I have spent my entire career working with children and families, and it is an honor to lead and serve the premier children’s home in the Greater Houston area.”
Vince and his wife Ashley have two boys, Connor and Lucas. The Duran family lives on the College and Career Campus and are active members of Christ Family Church in Cypress, Texas.
Quintes W. Stark Jr. came to Boys and Girls Country with his wife Elida in March 1996 as Teaching Parents in Cottage #5. In July of 1998, he assumed the role of Assistant Director of Maintenance. His position changed again 11 months later when he was promoted to the Director of Maintenance. He became Director of Operations in January 2001. He currently holds the position of Chief Operations and Facilities Officer. He has been in the construction and maintenance field for over 30 years and has overseen the construction of three capital campaigns in his 23 years of service to our home. He oversees the day-to-day operation of facility upkeep and maintenance, food services, cottage furnishings, and cottage needs, donations, resident clothing needs, vehicle upkeep and repairs, facility licensing compliance, and ranch operations. He is also the Emergency and Disaster Coordinator, Security Officer, Resident Apprentice Program Coordinator, German Volunteer Coordinator, and a CPR/First Aid Trainer. Quintes and Elida, his wife of 29 years, have three children. He has served as a board director and board chair of his local church, is currently the Chair of Adult Leadership Parent Association (ALPA) working with the Waller County 4-H and the Waller County Extension Office, as well as being an active member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, where he currently holds the position of Captain in the Team Penning and Ranch Sorting Committee.
Mr. Notarainni joined Boys and Girls Country of Houston in October 2021. He has over 30 years of experience as a financial executive. Throughout his extensive career in corporate finance, he has worked for Fortune 500 companies including Prudential Insurance, The Walt Disney Company, Oracle, American Express, Experian and Honeywell in various finance roles. Also, he has worked as a consultant for Accenture, EY, FTI and Alvarez & Marsal, working on projects focused on improving the finance functions of various size companies as well as performing interim finance roles.
Mr. Notarainni earned a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Michigan State University and an MBA in International Finance from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Kristin Burch joined the Boys and Girls Country community in February 2019 as the Chief Development Officer. Kristin brings extensive experience in non-profit leadership, fundraising, alumni and volunteer relations, management and events. The majority of her career has been in higher education at Georgetown University in Washington, DC; Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC; the University of Houston in Houston, TX and St. Thomas University in Houston, TX.
Kristin lives in The Woodlands with her husband, Craig, and son, Ben. She is excited to bring support to the youth who benefit from the loving, supportive and secure environment provided at Boys and Girls Country. She feels blessed to work with the amazing staff and volunteers who are so dedicated to the mission of the organization. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching college sports, listening to live music and volunteering.
