About Us

A Home For Children

Founded in 1971, Boys and Girls Country has been serving children for over 50 years! We are a licensed residential home that serves children 5-18 and young adults 18 and up.

Our History

Take a look at look how our mission has grown since 1971

Residential Care

Our residential program provides homes for children ages 5 to 18. Children live on campus in cottages with trained houseparents and attend local public schools. We are a trauma-informed community that caters to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of each child. Each cottage operates as an independent family unit. This includes preparing meals, doing chores and attending vacations together.

College & Career

In most residential programs, when a child turns 18 and graduates from high school, they are on their own. However, we know becoming an adult does not happen overnight. Since 1997, our College & Career program provides young adults the opportunity to obtain a college degree, a technical certificate, enter the military or begin their career. During their time in our program they will receive mentorship, financial support and will continue to have a place to call home.

Services

Our comprehensive program provides each child with the resources they need to become a self-sustaining and contributing adult. We offer full-service care to heal and enrich every aspect of a child's life using a trauma-informed approach. Our goal is to employ a holistic approach that will have a lasting impact for future generations.
